Acceptable use policy

What is not allowed here

Effective 19 August 2026. This policy is part of the terms and conditions. It exists because a register of people considering marriage only works if everyone on it behaves decently.

Be who you say you are

  • No one under 18The service is for adults. Accounts found to belong to a minor are closed immediately.
  • No impersonationDo not create an account for someone else, answer as someone else, or use another person's photographs.
  • No material misrepresentationAge, marital status, whether you are currently in a relationship, whether you have children, and immigration or residence status are all things people rely on when deciding to meet. Falsifying them ends the account.
  • One register, one entryDo not hold multiple accounts, and do not return under a new identity after an account has been closed.

Treat the other person as a person

  • No harassmentNo abuse, threats, intimidation, stalking, sexual harassment, or repeated unwanted contact — during an introduction or after it ends.
  • Respect a noIf someone declines an introduction, that is the end of it. Do not attempt to reach them through other channels.
  • Photographs must be of you, and must not be intimateUpload only photographs of yourself. Do not upload an image of another person, whether or not you know them, and never one taken or shared without that person's consent. Sexually explicit or intimate imagery is not permitted anywhere on this service, and any image of a minor is grounds for immediate closure and a report to the authorities.
  • Do not circulate what you are shownPhotographs, names, written introductions, and contact details are given to you for one purpose. Do not screenshot them into group chats, post them, forward them, or add them to any other register or database.
  • No discrimination in conductYou may hold any preference you like in your own answers. You may not abuse or demean anyone on the basis of caste, religion, colour, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin. Caste is recorded as context for the matchmaker and is never used to rank or filter anyone.
  • No dowry demandsSoliciting, demanding, or negotiating dowry through this service is prohibited outright, by a candidate or by a family respondent, and is grounds for immediate closure.

Do not misuse the service itself

  • Not for commerceNo advertising, recruiting, selling, fundraising, multi-level marketing, or promoting another matchmaking or dating service.
  • Nothing unlawfulNo fraud, money laundering, trafficking, coercion into marriage, immigration fraud, or any other unlawful purpose. Marriage entered into for immigration benefit without genuine intent is not something this service will knowingly assist.
  • No automated accessNo scraping, crawling, bulk downloading, automated account creation, or attempts to reverse-engineer the questionnaire or matching logic.
  • No interferenceDo not probe, attack, or attempt to gain access to accounts, data, or systems that are not yours, and do not attempt to bypass age, consent, or payment controls.

How this is enforced

Reports go to [email protected]. If someone has made you feel unsafe, say so plainly and it will be treated as the priority.

  • What happensDepending on what occurred, an account may be warned, suspended pending review, or closed. Serious conduct — anything involving safety, a minor, or the law — skips straight to closure.
  • It is recordedEvery suspension or closure is written to an audit record with a reason. The reason is a fixed operational code, not a description of anyone's private circumstances.
  • No refund for closure on breachAn account closed for breaking this policy is not refunded for the current period. See the refund policy.
  • AppealsWrite to [email protected]. A person reads it.
